With the start of the new school year approaching, the Abbotsford Police Department is reminding parents that electric kick scooters (e-scooters) are not permitted on public roads, sidewalks, pathways, or parks anywhere within the City of Abbotsford. Their use is restricted to private property.

Abbotsford, BC – July 20th, 2026 – Early this morning, just before 2:00 a.m., Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 1 near Cole Road.
Abbotsford, BC – July 17th, 2026 - On July 16th, 2026, at approximately 6:40 a.m., a woman in her 70's was inside a public washroom at Ellwood Park, located in the 31500 block of Maclure Road, when an unknown suspect, believed to be a man, entered the facility and launched an unprovoked assault.

Abbotsford, BC – July 9th, 2026 – In April 2025, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers observed a man known to be involved in local drug trafficking operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from driving. Officers followed the vehicle and subsequently arrested the driver. During the arrest, officers located illicit drugs and a handgun in his possession.
