Abbotsford, BC – April 20th, 2026 – Just after 9:00 a.m. this morning, the Abbotsford Police Department was notified by school officials that an email had been received containing threats of potential violence directed towards local public schools in Abbotsford today. AbbyPD officers immediately attended the identified schools to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and began to investigate.

Abbotsford, BC – April 18th, 2026 – On April 13th, AbbyPD notified the public of an arson that occurred during the early morning hours at the Bakerview Centre for Learning. Since that incident, two additional arsons have occurred to school properties in Abbotsford.

Forty-six-year-old Stephen Bradley Ewing is scheduled for release from William Head Institution on March 30, 2026, and will be residing in the Abbotsford area.

Abbotsford, BC – March 24th, 2026 – On March 23rd, 2026, at approximately 11:11 p.m., Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Whatcom Road Park & Ride, which currently hosts a large homeless encampment.

Abbotsford, BC – March 17th, 2026 – On March 16th, 2026, at approximately 11:37 p.m., an Abbotsford Police officer attempted to stop a speeding vehicle traveling eastbound on Maclure Road near Townline Road. The driver of the vehicle, a Dodge Ram, failed to stop and fled from the attempted traffic stop. Moments later, the vehicle lost control and collided with a tree near the intersection of Maclure Road and Old Yale Road.

Abbotsford, BC – March 12th, 2026 – On February 6th, 2026, at approximately 5:23 p.m., Abbotsford Police Patrol Officers responded to a report of a bank robbery in the 2100 block of Sumas Way. A man entered the bank, demanded money, and fled in an awaiting truck after obtaining cash. No injuries were reported.
