Abbotsford, BC – March 17th, 2026 – On March 16th, 2026, at approximately 11:37 p.m., an Abbotsford Police officer attempted to stop a speeding vehicle traveling eastbound on Maclure Road near Townline Road. The driver of the vehicle, a Dodge Ram, failed to stop and fled from the attempted traffic stop. Moments later, the vehicle lost control and collided with a tree near the intersection of Maclure Road and Old Yale Road.

A man entered the bank, demanded money, and fled in an awaiting truck after obtaining cash. No injuries were reported.

Abbotsford, BC – January 7th, 2026 – On December 16th, AbbyPD’s Community Engagement Response Team (CERT) launched ‘Boost and Bust,’ a one-day retail theft enforcement initiative in Abbotsford. Working alongside Lower Mainland police agencies and the Organized Retail Crime Association (ORCA) BC in a multijurisdictional effort, the operation resulted in 25 arrests, 29 new charges, and the recovery of over $5,000 in stolen merchandise here in Abbotsford.

Abbotsford, BC – December 19th, 2025 – Detectives from AbbyPD’s Extortion Task Force continue to investigate this concerning public safety incident. On the evening of December 18th, 22-year-old Gursewak Singh was formally charged in relation to his incident.
Charge: On or about the 17th day of December 2025, at or near Abbotsford, in the Province of British Columbia, Mr. Singh did discharge a firearm into or at a place, knowing or being reckless as to whether another person was present in the place, contrary to Section 244.2(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
