On Sept. 29, 2020 at 7:05 pm, Abbotsford Emergency Services were called to West Oaks Mall for the report of a hit and run involving a 59-year-old pedestrian. The vehicle involved was seen briefly stopping before leaving the scene. The pedestrian is currently in critical but stable condition at Vancouver General Hospital.

On Sept 19 2020, at 11:35 pm, Abbotsford Police were called to the area of Firhill Drive and Upper Maclure Road for the sound of gun shots.  Police located an unoccupied vehicle parked in the 31000 block of Upper Maclure Rd with gun shotdamage.  Fortunately, no one was injured, and it does not appear at this time that the vehicle had been occupied.

More than 20 signs will be installed at busy intersections, advising motorists that panhandling on roadways is hazardous and unlawful.  Drivers are encouraged to donate to local agencies whose mandate it is to help those who panhandle, rather than giving money to panhandlers directly.

The Canucks have moved on to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs because they have played a team game and supported each other. Abbotsford, we need to do the same. The celebrations after Friday's game saw AbbyPD put a few people in the penalty box.

The Abbotsford Police are asking the public’s assistance in locating missing person, Jody Willard Trainer, who is believed to be driving a 2008 Red Cadillac CTS (BCLP HA078G).   Jody was last seen on Monday August 17th at 8:30 am in the 33300 block of Marshall Road when he stepped out advising he would be back later in the afternoon, but he did not return.
