ABBOTSFORD IS A PROUD AND RICHLY MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITY strengthened by the many cultures, traditions, and perspectives of its residents, with more than 50 languages spoken across our city. Integral to this multicultural landscape are the Matsqui (Màthexwi), Sumas (Semá:th), and Leq’á:mel First Nations, on whose traditional territories we live and work, and whose enduring presence, cultures, and stewardship of the land we deeply respect. The Abbotsford Police Department places great importance on fostering meaningful, trust-based relationships with our community.
