Abbotsford, BC – September 9th, 2026 – At approximately 3:56 p.m. today, AbbyPD Patrol officers responded to a serious collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at the intersection of George Ferguson Way and Gladys Avenue.
The motorcyclist sustained serious, life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital. The driver of the SUV was not injured, but was understandably shaken by the incident and is cooperating with police.
The investigation is in its early stages and is being supported by members of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS). The intersection of George Ferguson Way and Gladys Avenue remains closed in all directions and is expected to remain closed for several hours.
Detours are in place; however, motorists should anticipate significant traffic delays and congestion throughout the area. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera footage of the incident is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
