AbbyPD Mentoring Program
The AbbyPD Mentoring Program offers youth, ages 17 to 22 years, an outstanding opportunity to strengthen their personal and leadership skills while forming meaningful connections with our police officers. Over eight weeks, participants take part in a blended learning program, composed of interactive classroom learning and practical skills training. This hands-on mentoring experience offers valuable insight into the policing profession and helps prepare youth for career pathways into law enforcement. Throughout, participants will explore a variety of policing topics, gain a realistic understanding of the expectations and responsibilities of the profession, enhance their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, identify and plan career goals, and build lasting relationships with members of the AbbyPD.
This program is offered at no cost to participants thanks to the generous support of program funding from the Abbotsford Police Foundation.
