Serious Collision Between Bicycle and Car at Bevan Ave and Primrose St

This morning at 9:46 am, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a collision on
Bevan Ave at Primrose St involving a bicycle and a vehicle.

At this location, a cyclist and car collided in the intersection. The bicycle was travelling
northbound on Primrose St, and the car was travelling eastbound on Bevan Ave.

Female in Custody for Second time; Firearms seized

On January 21, 2019, Abbotsford Police investigated an uttering threats incident. Abbotsford Police charged Danielle RIGDON, a female in her early 40’s, with Pointing a Firearm, Assault with a Weapon, and Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm. Subsequent to the arrest, officers searched her residence and seized a loaded firearm and ammunition.

Abbotsford Emergency Crews Respond to Apartment Fire on Countess

ABBOTSFORD, BC, 2019-03-07: On Wednesday, March 06, 2019, at 10:29 PM, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a structure fire located in the 2400 block of Countess St.

Upon arrival, Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service (AFRS) crews found two units of the three-story structure fully engulfed. A number of tenants had evacuated to exterior balconies and were unable to exit further.

One of the police officers struck and injured by a vehicle while training yesterday has been released from hospital. Abbotsford Police Department's Cpl Aaron Courtney, a 15 year officer and 10 year member of the Lower Mainland District Integrated Police Dog Services Unit, is now at home recovering with his family and friends.

Incident: Found body located on rural property has been identified

On December 25, 2018, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers were called to rural property in the 29700 block of Maclure Road. Police were directed to a pond where a deceased male was located.

It has now been determined that the deceased is 36 year old Ngamphon Khamkong, Mr. Khamkong had been the subject of a missing persons investigation being conducted by AbbyPD.

The investigation has revealed that foul play was not involved in Mr. Khamkong’s death
