Serious Collision Between Bicycle and Car at Bevan Ave and Primrose St

This morning at 9:46 am, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a collision on
Bevan Ave at Primrose St involving a bicycle and a vehicle.

At this location, a cyclist and car collided in the intersection. The bicycle was travelling
northbound on Primrose St, and the car was travelling eastbound on Bevan Ave.

The cyclist, a 98 year-old man, was seriously injured and transported to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The 83 year-old female driver of the car did not suffer any injuries, and remained at the scene.

Abbotsford Police Department Collision Reconstructionists and Patrol Division Officers
continue to investigate this crash. Bevan Ave and Primrose St. were closed earlier today, but are now open to the public. We thank you for your patience.
