Abbotsford, BC – November 26th, 2025 – On November 24th, 2025, at approximately 2:48 p.m., Abbotsford Police officers responded to a report of a break-and-enter in progress at a residence in the 32500 block of Peardonville Road. The homeowner, who was away at the time, received an alert from his security camera and immediately contacted police.

Initially launched as a pilot project, the program is now a core strategy within Patrol to more effectively target property crime on the frontlines.

Abbotsford, BC – November 4th, 2025 – On October 28th, 2025, 69-year-old Peter Jones was reported missing to the Abbotsford Police Department. Peter’s disappearance is considered highly unusual and has raised concern for both his family and investigators.

Abbotsford, BC – October 27th, 2025 – At approximately 9:22 a.m. this morning, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 31300 block of Ridgeview Drive.
Upon arrival, officers secured the area and confirmed the incident was confined to a single parked vehicle on the roadway. Inside the vehicle, they discovered a 68-year-old man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Abbotsford, BC – October 9th, 2025 – On October 3rd, 2025, at approximately 2:51 p.m., the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) responded to a report of a weapons-related incident at Mill Lake Park. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a youth had sustained minor injuries after being shot with a BB gun during a disturbance involving several individuals.

Abbotsford, BC – September 30th, 2025 - On Monday evening, September 29th at approximately 8:05 p.m., frontline officers from the Abbotsford Police Department responded to a rollover collision involving a semi-truck on Highway 1 near the Whatcom Road exit. No other vehicles were involved.

Abbotsford, BC – September 23rd, 2025 – Between November 2023 and September 2025, the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) has received 38 reports of extortion-related incidents. Two of these incidents, both of which occurred in November 2023, involved acts of violence. Between December 2023 and August 2025, the vast majority of reported extortion cases have involved non-violent methods, such as threatening letters, phone calls, or text messages. All reported incidents have been actively investigated and/or monitored by our Major Crimes Unit.
Abbotsford, BC – September 19th, 2025 – On July 2nd, 2025, Abbotsford Police were alerted to a reported assault at a public facility in the 2400 block of McMillan Road. All individuals involved were identified during the course of the investigation, including an off-duty RCMP officer.

Abbotsford, BC – September 12th, 2025 – On September 11th at approximately 5:31 a.m., Abbotsford Police Patrol Officers responded to a suspicious fire at a business in the 31050 block of Peardonville Road.
Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple vehicles in the business parking lot had been deliberately set on fire. While the damage was extensive, no injuries were reported.
