Abbotsford, BC – August 5th, 2025 – Shortly after 11:00 p.m. on August 4th, Abbotsford Police Patrol officers successfully identified the female involved in this incident. She is safe and currently speaking with investigators.
The Abbotsford Police Department would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this investigation. At this time, no further public assistance is required.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Abbotsford, BC – August 4th, 2025 – On August 3rd, 2025, at approximately 9:13 p.m., Abbotsford Police Patrol Officers responded to a report of a female screaming in the parking lot of Cabela’s, located at 1818 McCallum Road. The caller described the female as South Asian, in her early 20s, with a slim build, black hair, wearing a light-colored hoody and pants.
The female was observed attempting to distance herself from a male operating a green Ford truck, possibly a Ford Lightning. The male is described as South Asian, in his early 20s, with a slim build and dark hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing light-colored shorts and shirt.
Upon arrival, officers conducted extensive patrols of the surrounding area; however, the vehicle had already left prior to police attendance. No additional information was available at the time to assist in identifying either individual involved.
Today, August 4th, investigators obtained CCTV footage from the area that captured the incident. Despite exhaustive efforts to identify the individuals involved, police have not yet been successful.
Out of concern for the wellbeing of the female, investigators are now releasing the CCTV footage to the public and appealing for assistance in identifying the vehicle and the individuals involved.
