On September 12th, 2023, at 7:59 P.M., Abbotsford Patrol members responded to Lefeuvre Rd and Huntingdon Rd intersection, in Abbotsford BC, for a reported motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles that had collided head-on.
Arriving at the scene, AbbyPD patrol members, along with members of the BC Ambulance Service and Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service, rendered aid to the drivers involved, a 49-year-old male and a 29-year-old female who were transported to hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries respectively.
The intersection was temporarily closed to the public as members of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service attended and assisted investigators at the scene in determining factors that led to the event.
It is yet unconfirmed whether speed or impairment contributed to the event. AbbyPD’s General Investigation Section is leading the investigation and asks anyone with dashcam footage and information about the event to please contact them at 604-859-5225.
