On June 4, 2021, just after 10:00pm, emergency services attended the area of Clearbrook Road and Coral Avenue for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
Sadly, lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful, and the female was confirmed to be deceased.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. The investigation is in its early stages. No further details are available at this time.
Abbotsford Police patrol and traffic units, along with ICARS, will be at scene for several hours. Traffic on Clearbrook road between George Ferguson Way and Maclure road will be blocked in both directions for some time. Anyone in the area near the time of the collision that may have dashcam footage is asked to call Abbotsford Police at 604-859-5225
The APD would like to remind the public to be aware of road conditions and drive accordingly, and further remind pedestrians to wear bright or reflective clothing and use caution when walking on busy highways and roads.
