D-hut Pizza Robberies - suspect arrested

Between May and June, D-hut Pizza on Clearbrook Road was robbed three times.  On each occasion, the suspect entered the store and demanded money at knife point, obtaining cash and fleeing from the area on foot.

On June 9 2019 at approximately 8:00 pm, a male entered the D-Hut Pizza, demanded money, and left on foot.  An Abbotsford Police patrol officer was in the area and was flagged down by an employee from the restaurant and given a description of the robbery suspect, which was broadcasted to other officers. Within a minute, the robbery suspect was located a block away and taken into police custody.

Investigators have identified and charged 26 year old Kolton Kurt KLASSEN with one count of robbery at the D-hut Pizza. Further Criminal Code charges will be forwarded to BC Prosecution Services as this investigation progresses.  KLASSEN remains in custody and his next court date is set for later this week.
