This afternoon, the Abbotsford Police escorted our brother, Constable Jesse Zawadzki, to Henderson’s funeral home.

Constable Zawadzki, 26 years old, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020.  Jesse had a bright future ahead of him and his sudden loss has impacted us all.  Jesse made such a positive impression on all of us at AbbyPD in the short two years that we had with him.  Jesse understood that policing was about serving and protecting our community and he was committed to making a difference.  He loved policing and Abbotsford; always having time to stop and talk to a youngster roadside or spend some extra time with our community – he will be missed.

Constable Zawadzki’s family invites Jesse’s friends and others he touched outside his policing family to a viewing on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

We will miss our brother and his positive impact on our department and city.  Thank-you to everyone for the amazing support that we have received; Jesse’s family and AbbyPD are truly grateful.”
