On January 18th, 2024, at 6:16 A.M., AbbyPD officers responded to the area of North Parallel Rd and Fooks Rd Abbotsford B.C for a reported collision involving a pedestrian.
Officers arriving at the scene located a 31-year-old male suffering from serious and life-threatening injuries. Medical aid was immediately provided, and the male was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash, with inclement weather and snow likely being contributing factors.
Road closures on North Parallel Rd between Whatcom Rd and Kilgard Rd will remain in effect as investigators piece together the factors that led to the crash.
