On December 7th, 2023, at 3:48 p.m., AbbyPD patrol members were called to the intersection of Ware St and Farrant Cres Abbotsford BC for a reported collision involving one vehicle and a pedestrian.
Upon arrival at the scene, first responders provided medical aid to the 38-year-old female who had sustained critical and life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Members determined impairment not to be a factor that led to the incident.
The victim has been transported to hospital and remains in critical condition at this time.
AbbyPD patrol members, with the assistance of members of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (I.C.A.R.S.), are on the scene and investigating.
Traffic has been redirected in the area due to the unfolding investigation.
