Abbotsford Police Department Honours National Volunteer Week

The Abbotsford Police Department is proud to recognize the contributions of our Reserve Constables and Victim Service Workers and Community Police Office volunteers this week – during National Volunteer Week.

National Volunteer Week is a great time to recognize and celebrate the dedication, generosity and commitment of volunteerism across Canada. The AbbyPD honours our 188 volunteers and reserves who contribute over 41,283 hours of service annually. Their dedication to our programs such as Citizens Patrol, Cell Watch, Victim Services, Lock Out Auto Crime and many others which are critical in connecting with our community and enhancing safety.

Chief Constable Mike Serr notes, “Our volunteers are such a valuable part of our AbbyPD team and they truly make a difference every day for those who live, work and play in Abbotsford.  There is Strength in Community and together we can all make a difference.  I want to thank our volunteers who put others before themselves and give up their time to AbbyPD make Abbotsford the safest city in BC.”

On behalf of ALL of us at the Abbotsford Police Department, we extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our volunteers and reserves.
