News Release Posting
Before starting make sure you have THESE 3 things:
- The original word document (not just the PDF)
- The PDF version of the news release
- The temporary news release image - it can be found here: DOWNLOAD

Log into HoolaHoop : https://www.abbypd.ca/admin

Log in with your assigned username and password

Go to Manage Content along the top menu bar and hover over

Choose from dropdown menu “Blog”

Click on the Large green button "Add Blog Post" above the list of previous blog posts.

On the left Under Post Settings, Post Under Blogs: Check off News Releases

Check off which category the post belongs to (if there isn’t one leave unchecked)

Type the news release title into the Post Title field

Copy and paste the content from the word document in to Post Contents editing box
** Do not add EVERYTHING from the document please just add from New Release to the contact information (SEE SAMPLE HERE) **

Adjust the spacing between paragraphs. Unfortuanlty it will not carry over from the word document. Try using SHIFT+ENTER for adding space between.

Bold the News Release and Title in the body of the post.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to add Official News Release Download text (SEE SAMPLE HERE) and link to the PDF - Instructions How To Link PDF

Add in the “break” into the content – you want to put this after 10 or so lines of text max! (the break line will not show in the main post (it’s just to tell the system where to cut off the content preview).

Choose from Publish Now, Publish On (choose time and date) or Save As Draft.

Click Save

Go to front end of the website to: https://www.abbypd.ca/blog/news_releases and make sure the image and content preview (before the breakline) looks correct.
