About Us: The Abbotsford Police Department is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Special Events Team and help us interact and engage with our community.

Position Overview: As a member of the Special Events Team, you will assist the Abbotsford Police Department at various community events throughout the year. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, contribute to the safety of your community, and work alongside dedicated professionals.

Responsibilities:

Assist with event setup and teardown
Provide information and assistance to event attendees
Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment
Collaborate with police officers and other volunteers while interacting with the public
Assist with free bike registrations
Contribute to response efforts during critical incidents

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older
BC Class 5 Drivers License
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Availability to volunteer on weekends and evenings
Commitment to the duration of the events
