How to Apply

We are not currently accepting applications for the APD Reserve Program.   At this time, we do not know when the next Intake will occur.

Inquiries about the program can be directed to Cst John Wilcox [email protected].

Once you have ensured that you meet all of the Applicant minimum requirements, and you want to be considered for the Selection process, please use the email link listed above to submit your resumé, cover letter, and any other applicable documents.

Please do not complete the application process if you do not meet all of the Applicant minimum requirements.

After your application is submitted, it will be reviewed and considered by a member in the Crime Prevention Section. If your application is deemed “competitive”, you will receive an email advising you that you are moving forward in the selection process.

If your application is deemed “non-competitive”, you will receive an email advising you that there are “other more competitive candidates” in the process, and your application will be closed.

Due to the volume of applications, it is not possible to provide specific feedback to unsuccessful applicants.

A response to your application can take several weeks, depending on the time of year, and the recruiting needs of the AbbyPD. Please ensure that you provide the correct information when submitting your application, and ensure that your phone number and email address is valid and entered correctly.

Email is our primary mode of communicating with applicants during the initial stages of the application/selection process.  Be sure that any spam/junk mail filters are set to accept emails from the @abbypd.ca address. If your personal information or email address changes, it is your responsibility to contact the AbbyPD Crime Prevention Section immediately and provide the updated information. Please be sure to check your email account regularly.

If you have any questions, please contact Cst. John Wilcox (Reserve Constable Coordinator) by e-mail at [email protected]
